What is Product Audit VDA 6.5?
Product audits serve as an aid to management in independently evaluating products from the customers’ point of view and in ensuring that complaints do not arise from defects in products and their characteristics. Product audits also indicate opportunities for continuous improvement.

The automotive industry’s requirements standard contains requirements for conducting product audits. The working method is described in a Swedish translation and is about 50 pages long. It describes a working method for selecting the right products and the right properties for audit based on customer requirements and strategic importance.
